One of the most strategic decisions a nonprofit leader can make is whether or not to outsource HR functions. Making that decision requires careful consideration of timing, input across the board and potential impact on the organization’s culture. Moderator Paul Phelan and presenters Simone Putnam and Sidney Abrams will describe the decision making process, the various forms an outsourcing arrangement may take, and the long-term implications for the organization. Time at the end of the presentation is reserved for issues and questions raised by FAR members and guests.

.recognize how an outsourced HR function changes an organization
.identify the key questions to be raised in making the decision to outsource
.recognize the key players that need to be included in the conversation
