The opportunity to use your organization’s investment dollars to support positive environmental, social, and governance (ESG) behavior of companies around the globe is an enticing prospect.   There is a rapidly growing set of investment options offered by mutual fund companies that advertise their ESG attributes.  Many individual companies are expanding their public dialogue on their ESG plans and activities to further the message to shareholders that addressing ESG issues is a core business practice and is an important part of their corporate success.  The challenge for investors is sorting through the words and determining the best way to measure and track action when no ESG standard metrics exist.

Presenters: Les Irby, CFP, AIF, Relationship Manager & Vice President, Rembert Pendleton Jackson

Attendees will:

  • Learn what ESG means as a basis for assessing its applicability to your organization.
  • Learn about the current state of ESG reporting standards and ratings.
  • Learn about the opportunities and challenges of incorporating ESG into your investment program.
  • Learn how to set expectations for your organization for meeting specific ESG criteria versus ability to positively support long term ESG goals.
