FAR April Luncheon
"A Day in the Life of a Nerdy Nonprofit Business Leader"
From the moment Beth Z stepped on the stage at FHI360, FAR members knew they were in for a lively, provocative and humorous presentation on using available technology to make every task of each day go more smoothly. Realizing how quickly they could access more than a dozen demonstrated apps just by grabbing their smartphones, attendees saw how to simplify what they do from waking up, getting dressed, finding the best way to work, scheduling meetings, creating audio presentations, making posters, running errands, doing chores and more. The power of some of these apps were, in Beth's words, "helpful, but creepy" served as a reminder of the reach of the digital world we inhabit, leading Beth to her last demonstration of SafeTrek, an application designed to secure our privacy.
